Rdr went for realism over arcade like spiderman. You really can't compare the two. One is a Superman hero game so you're gonna get the quick slick movement doing unbelievable things YOUR SPIDERMAN. The other is a try to be close to life cowboy outlaw. You shouldn't be cutting corner like your Spiderman lol
You lost all creditability with that last statement. Rdr2 story is one of the best this gen

I feel ya but GTA 4? It's problem had nothing to do with being too real. It simple had a crappying driving, bad playlist, and a forgettable story and "meh" main character gun play was good.
It wasn't too repetitive but it was a a chapter or two too long
How is it going to be niche? Unless this thing is $750+ I have a hard time seeing it being marketed to hardcore only, which would be a mistake business wise at that.
Right as long as things are optional you can't do much harm. MS got back on track to what made Xbox and cut out the gimmicks.
PS has always been a goto Console for casuals just as much if not more than core gamers in fact more casuals are on PS than Xbox. You have it very backwards. Core gamers have 0 problem buying dlc, special editions, subscriptions.
