No they don't. The reason they launch on Xbox late is because the games have made back there money. Launching day and date on Xbox would not change that.
Just look at Crisis Core launched day and date on Xbox and did 4 percent of sales. Even the Switch version sold 3 times Xbox. 84 percent of sales were Playstation. Even the best selling Xbox with FF13 sold only 1/3 on Xbox

Yeah thats idiotic. They already know from trials with Horizon being on Plus and their sales dropped. So why would they test that again? They can already see the disaster that is Gamepass and data shows they would lose sales. So of course they're going to put the game in a position to sell.
