Switch isn't digital only though. Big difference is Nintendo has the lowest digital sales, but, sells the most 1st party games too. Switch also sells physical games. The series S is digital only so can't really compare the Switch
No way in hell they stop the yearly releases. It makes too much money. They would probably just spend some of the money to do some PR to try to smooth things over instead.
