It has nothing to do with the studio being 2nd party, it has to do with MS not managing their own game development.
It still is lopsided. None of those studios MS purchased I would say are AAA either. They need to actually release content that proves they are AAA first before anything is said and done. Last I checked Xbox isn't exactly churning out GOTY level games.

Monolith is owned by Warner Bros, they did F.E.A.R, Condemned and most recently Middle Earth games.
I get what your saying though. I was upset when Ninja Theory got bought by MS as talent just goes their to die. Rare for example has done garbage since being acquired for example.

Xbox is set to drop support again. Where are these phantom games you're referring to? Have yet to see why you guys have this opinion when Xbox has not released a regular stream of games ever. Nintendo and Playstation continue to release games regularly and they didn't even need to make studio purchases to do it. Xbox yet again is just wait and see, its like a bait an switch again and people fall for it like idiots.

Looks like someone didn't actually read the article. The posted loss is just them posting amortization from their business transfer to Sega. Their sales helped Sega this year.
With Persona 5 Royal launching this year then coming next year in N.A. their sales will be better than this year so no worries they'll be more than fine.

They haven't produced a single AAA game between all the acquisitions so again pretty baseless opinion here. Buying studios with the intent to create AAA games is one thing, actually making AA...
I think the point is a Sony owned studio for example say Naughty Dog produced Uncharted then were allowed to move along to new creations like The Last Of Us. Guerilla did Killzone then moved on Horizon Zero Dawn. Suckerpunch from Infamous to Ghost of Tsukishima. Etc.
Then look at MS 1st party studios that did ONLY Fable, Forza, Forza Horizon, Halo, Gears. Coming up whats coming out? 'New' Halo, Gears etc.

Yeah well Tencent owns Riot who made League of Legends and Tencent Pictures throws money into so many productions its hard not to notice. Heck I just watched Men in Black International and Tencent Pictures was listed as a producer when the movie started.
Sony actually gives their games a chance. Uncharted 1 had like 50,000 sales for its first month! Can you imagine if they gave up on Uncharted after that starting month and not built it up?
They sell it every christmas and black friday sale for $199 and they shift a lot of units in a short time so there's no need to drop the price yet. I would imagine it will get a big drop closer to the PS5 launch
