They are, those are people that work at Valve
I really don't understand why so many people are getting confused by this. It's like people are only reading the paragraph under "Living room & Steam" and completely ignoring the one next to it "Fast forward". That one talks about how it's a Linux OS built around gaming and getting the most out of the hardware. That clearly means that whatever it's installed on, be it a Steambox or a PC, is intended to be able to run games on it. Streaming from a second...
@zeal0ous
If that were their entire purpose behind it they wouldn't be working on a separate OS and creating hardware that will run that OS. That'd be like completely rebuilding a house to fix a squeaky door.
Not sure why you think that. That was a single feature to ensure that you aren't losing out on your Windows/Mac games because as a Linux OS, it can't support them. Presumably you'll be able to run past Linux games on it and it will encourage developers to also develop for Linux in the future.
@DDDGirlGamer85
Well you're wrong. If they were only ever releasing total number of accounts rather than active subscribers how would that number be going down?
Rift also says hi.
Seriously, games that have had subscription models have actively decided that it was worse for their business than going F2P.
@Aggesan
Actually it makes perfect sense. The thing is they're lumping all PC gamers together. It's the same thing as lumping all console gamers together. What's the difference if I only play old PC games and haven't upgraded in 10 years vs only playing PS2 and having not bought a new console?
The point is that the statistics and the article don't really give you any valuable information on what the average hardware is for a PC gamer that ...
If it comes out on PC maybe. Allowing a person to play the game at that high resolution isn't a huge technical feat, it's just the requirements to play modern games at that resolution are utterly insane. The machine they are talking about in the article has three extremely high end video cards powering it.
Well according to the article they might allow "Diana, Fiora, Karma (default skin), Kayle, Leona, Lissandra, Lulu, Lux, Nami, Quinn, Sejuani, Tristana and Vayne.".
Fun fact: Poppy isn't on the banned list in the article. Apparently she doesn't count as a female in Iran.
>Hopefully Bethesda still owns Elder scrolls and can jump ship before they get eaten by these lions.
What? Bethesda basically IS Zenimax. It's not like this was EA and Bioware.
It's pretty sad when modders have made a better online GTA experience using San Andreas than Rockstar can with their new games.
jesus, the marketers have done a serious number on you
"You know what would make Minecraft better? If it played more like Call of Duty." said no one ever.
Nuff said about what? You realize MMORPGs are only a minute fraction of all the multiplayer games on the PC right? And honestly the trend is towards F2P even with MMORPGs now.
This situation is pretty implausible though. If you're a "low-end" PC gamer then you're probably in that situation for a reason that doesn't take graphics or performance into account. They likely just have a computer as a matter of course and aren't able or have no interest in buying gaming hardware. Either that or they have a small budget but prefer the other perks of the PC platform.
It's a more friendly reason to give rather than, "A playerbase that mostly wants to use gamepads wouldn't be able to compete well with a playerbase using M&KB".
Also War Thunder likely has to deal with the same things, it's just that they'll withhold PC updates until the PS updates are ready to go.
I don't know of anyone calling them athletes. They're sportsmen.
Why should anyone care? This guy was the creative director, and while I agree that the story and lore was better in the previous Diablo games, they weren't what made Diablo 1 and 2 good, and they weren't the significant issues with Diablo 3.
Warframe is not AAA
@AndrewLB
Are you serious man? Your texture and shadow resolutions are not even close to the same thing as the 4k screen resolution that is being discussed.
The guy you replied to also has no idea what he's talking about though because he apparently thinks resolution works the same way on a PC as it does console games.
