totally agree. consumers have the ultimate weapon. they can choose not to buy the product.
I have never bought a season pass in my life but I will buy the battefront one cause I know I will want to buy whatever DLC there is anyway as a big star wars fan

as a consumer i dont want to pay more but I realize that games are more expensive to make than ever and actaully cost less now than what I was buying snes or PS1 games for bakc in the day
a season pass is a subscription fee , same as playing WoW
Thing is while I don't agree with how they presented it , MS vision on the always online xbone would've pushed this tech faster.

A company can charge what they like for their content. I fully respect everyone's right not to buy it or like it. But complaining about it constantly is just a waste of time.

I agree with allot you say, and i find joe's rants amusing at times , but I don't think it is possible for EA to make a game that won't get hated on. If they released the game and it played the same as battlefront 2 with better graphics everyone would be up in arms that it is battlefront 2.5 not 3.

I don't like the season pass and have never bought 1 , but I am going to buy the battlefront one because I want to.
That said game development costs have skyrocketed and the price of buying the game has pretty much stayed the same since I had a snes. We all want next gen experiences but those experiences are getting more expensive to produce. I don't know that AAA title development can continue without income from DLC or them charging more outright.

Maybe they are pushing too hard , maybe they aren't. The market and gamers will decide based on how many they sell. DLC has been a reality for a long time now. Fair enough. Personally I think basing that off a demo that basically 2 modes with 1 map each may be a little premature. But each their own
I remember bf2 fondly. But gameplay wise I don't think a straight remake of the mechanics from 10 years ago would've been received well either.

I think some people remember the older games slightly better than They really were. They were great at the the time but look back unbiased and they haven't aged that well in gameplay terms.
