Dont worry about pushing anything besides quality. I doubt you can top what Madworld and HOTD have done this year so just bring out a quality game.

@Max Power, The only problem with that theory is that most devs are not introducing these "new" gamers to their franchises. SO when they grow up they may just stick with Nintendo and co, because developers like Valve never offered them a game.

Saying PS3 is in trouble doesnt just come from one month of poor sales.. Or have you not been keeping track enough to know that its more like 9 months. And year over year loses, especially during the holiday season are not a good sign for PS3. Sony has already lost a lot of support. Games sales are not what they should be either. Yeah been for ever for MS fans.. I mean they have to go back a whole 4 weeks to find good sales.. How many years do you have to go back to find good PS3 sales? Considering the only thing to warrant any kind of media coverage for sales on PS3 since its release was Dark Knight, you might want to keep the jabs to yourself.

Why not only reason PS2 got so high in sales. Cant really blame MS for doing it when Sony did it for 4 years with the PS2 and a good portion of you jumped at the chance to buy their next console and didnt even think about how many PS2s you had to buy. I personally went through 3 of them before I decided it just wasnt worth owning.

You are comparing the 360 current install base to a game that got a majority of its sales when it had around 12 million install base..How can 18 million 360 owners not care when that many didnt even own the console when Halo3 released? Like or not 360 owners do support their console. PS3 is selling demos and giving games away and still cant touch the attach rate for 360.

IF MGS4 deserved all that, how come the game is forgotten about in 2 months? GTA4 was rated a 10 and it showed. MGS4 just got 10's because all the Pro Sony sites felt sorry for the PS3 and their owners and threw them a bone.. If it was really a 10, it wouldnt have been so easily forgotten, but then again that seems to happen to every PS3 game.. I remember when you fangirls said WKS was going to set the world on fire.. The only problem I have is him considering Madworld a traditional title.. It is anything but. As great a game as it is, it's a niche title. Not going to appeal to everyone that a game like Gears appeals to.
The only prblem with using Metacritic is its not reliable. How many Sony sites gave a 6 game a 10? Now how many of those same sites judged their Wii reviews fairly? Very few... Metacritic is great if you dont have any games to play and need an excuse to justify your purchase but it proves nothing. Most of us know the GTA4 reviews and MGS reviews were bought.
