The voice of the consumer? If that's the title of this article (when it's approved) I'll honestly laugh.
Good to hear. This'll give more incentive for people to immerse themselves (and possibly stick) with Odyssey.
""If you take a look at Battlefield historically, it’s been about expressing yourself through gameplay, solving problems the way you want to, and these characters fall perfectly in line with that thinking."
If by expression you mean killing, sure. It's never been about picking or aiming to have a character look a certain way. The inclusion of female characters isn't a problem (to me) - the problem is the era you've decided to take this approach. I...
Sigh. Love the series, but double dip strategies make my eyes roll.
Edit: Sexy case.
This literally, has made my day. I'm so happy for them and can't wait for the opportunity to sink my teeth into these experiences. Anything like Until Dawn is an instant win in my books (well - quality sustained of course).
DLC announcement trailers generally don't go well when the base game hasn't even released yet. As excited as I am for Soulcalibur VI, this wasn't the brightest move.
Edit: Tira does look absolutely fantastic.
Heh :P I'm down.
One of the titles I'm anticipating the most.
Ah, that seems right.
Canada, which was docked down to 10% a few years back is now getting nothing.
Time to cancel Prime.
Lol... I think, back when I first started gaming on Sony consoles, my very young mind thought "Oh hey, they are using basic shapes. Nifty."
To address one's own history is not a problem - it just needs to be done thoughtfully, respectfully and in a matter that doesn't lessen the severity of its lesson.
In regards to the Nazis -> Nazis are scum.
I'd argue that having disallowed the use of the symbol in games (thus removing a direct tie to them) only gave it more strength, though I understand why that approach took place. Generally decisions are based on trying to keep the publi...
I'm with you.
When tired, always just go with "I'm offended that you're offended." It's usually a good way to end a pointless discussion that clutches to ones emotional stature.
"This parodying of new words to replace offensive terminology is a commonplace gag in right-wing circles, often a means of ridiculing the stereotypical “social justice warrior” that, in the eyes of the right, have become too sensitive and overly-offended by the minutiae of controversial comedy."
Look. I'm on the left side of things, but there's merit in the sjw tag when you try to fabricate and connect dots with a garbage written piece like this. You can...
Maybe if the base price of digital games goes down, otherwise I think it'll hit a wall before it ever reaches that much of the overall consumer consumer base.
That's a misconception but I don't blame you for thinking it. Online only is actually a huge disservice that can go ignored if it doesn't impact the person enjoying the game. But those with poor internet connection or lack thereof tend to suffer, and if the server has issues, well you own a brick.
Well, this'll be causing a stir.
Perhaps I'm not catching the true meaning of this opinion piece, but if it's irritating me, I can only imagine the sparks of anger it'll ignite in others.
I've written a few responses to this but in the end I've deleted them all.
I agree with you on most of what you've said AnubisG, I just don't see how the moment a character who is lesbian is shown kissing another woman - constitutes as being forced/agenda based. Wouldn't that constitute as realism? At least for those it represents?
If a game was actually forcing it - inserting elements that served no purpose, then I'd take issue with it. But I haven't seen that happen beyond some poor narrative attempts in ME:Andromeda.
Really? Nothing in my post made sense? Not one part? Nothing? Not even the slightest?
Okay bud. The steampunk aesthetic came from the fact that a prosthetic claw in WW2 where soldiers can customize how they'd like to look (the clothes, not the gun) - tends to push the sense of realism out the window even further. I've heard multiple people initially reference how they thought it was a subtle sign of something else, but yes clearly the game isn't steampunk becaus...
