"Winning" a conference is pointless. Spreading the announcements the way they did served them better. There's been more buzz because of it. If you haven't noticed, one conference tends to drown the other out after awhile. They showed some big guns at Gamescom and their fanbase was pleased. I don't think they feel like they are "losing."

Hm, though the same can be argued with Xbox. Backwards compatibility doesn't = new games. Both consoles release games in different a manner, not to mention games from the past weren't played by all, so they are new for some.
Ultimately, it's a good time to be a gamer (but one must be smart, there's been to many broken games up until now.)
