Sony did an excellent job with the hardware department.
Ps3 is even close to the same user base as xbox 360 is outstanding.
Because it's going to take them 6 months to 1 year to port it.
I and Almost everybody else would have moved on.
And then it's not going to sell, So valve or say gabe newell will say "ah screw ps3 owners, they don't buy our game eventhough we treat them unequally."
And then everyone would forget about xbox 360.
unless... 360 drops even more in price!, which looks very unlikely.
Also, I heard Gears has some online problems.
So lots of people are buying COD5 for Multiplayer, and Gears for Single Player and other modes.

Sony is thinking about the consumers for once, by making ps3 at least afforable. if we compare to the blu-ray players that are out, they cost at least like 400 bucks.
Sony is starting to turn up profit in software, and soon it will in hardware for the ps3.
And Sony has done a lot.
From Price cut to getting first party exclusives, to making psn compete with xbl.
