from what i know the light bar can change colors to affect the the mood like give a dim red glow on horror games or turn red when you die.
Pretty sure X box live and the dash is one big advertising platform. Just the way they showed it on how it monitors your viewing habits to recommend shows to you plus with the kinect it can basically monitor most of what you do on the TV and develop targeted ads for each individual. I wouldn't mind as much if they are giving games free with the ads but it will probably just be added revenue for Microsoft.

I feel she just heard people or journalist talk about how they modeled the character after her. frankly speaking though the early version did bear a resemblance but the final version of doesn't really look like ellen page. I mean they share similarities in the fact that Ellen page looks really young and is a brunette but you could say that about a lot of people. Just look at the Beyond character models and you see they don't look that a like
Please don't use the cloud for single player games.
A game is a whole lot different from a console. I can always avoid a game if i know that it needed internet connection. I cannot however avoid my system being shut off if i don't check in every 24 hours even if i don't use any online functionality.
The game looked interesting but sadly its not for me without a single player. I'm just totally not into competitive multiplayer games. Story is one of the most important aspects for me and multiplayer like these can never be as effective as single player games in making you care about the world that they are building.
Maybe the yield problems are true, if that's the case PS4 could have double the install base by the time Microsoft normalizes production.
Its really misleading when you take into account that the Launch PS4s sold out within a couple of days of E3 while Xbox has yet to sell out their launch batch. Amazon doesn't post numbers but its obvious that PS4 sold lots really quickly now the numbers are spread out between the standard edition where amazon cannot promise a delivery date and 4 bundles.
Whats weird is that X box hasn't been able to sell out after a week of sales.
just goes to show that the only reason they want the checks is to have full and total control over you and your games. Even if they take out the whole 24 hour check at the end of the generation, the way that Microsoft is pushing the cloud will make it impossible to play the game without constant support and by the servers. and contrary to what Microsoft wants people to think the power of the cloud its not infinite and is not free once they see it is not economically viable to keep a game runn...

Microsoft should make it clear on their box that the disable gaming if the console does not get a connection. They could get into a class action suit if they don't
i get gamestops position cause they will have to handle all returns and complaints from their customers. this could cost them time and handling fees in the long run so being proactive no is the best.
I doubt either of them half the time or inclination to really play games to make that judgement.
Yesthe popular multiplayer shooters and FPS might be weak in character building but games like Last of Us and others seem to have great characters
Next time i want to track asteroids i'll try out the X Box one , as for gaming i'll stick to PS4.

Anyone can do the Cloud(yes Mictrosoft has a strong infrastructure), but Microsoft is using it as some kind of PR stunt to cover up their weaker hardware and give reason for their always online console and restrictive DRM. Cloud may be good for some things but its not this infinite source of power like Microsoft is making it out to be.

If sony can grab at least half the US and UK market then they will be in a good position to lead this genrration. Sony is pretty strong in Europe. I do believe pricing will be a factor this holiday and the PS4's price point is just perfect fr a launch console.
