Absolutely. My favorite part about GameStop is how everyone that works there feels the need to educate you on your purchases. “Are you sure you want an Xbox, PlayStation is better.” I heard that a lot during the Xbox 360 days. I already had a PS3 but had to hear how inferior the Xbox was to the cell. It goes both ways too, I’ve heard it about the Xbox being better too.

The amount of people sticking up for this is insane. I have Spider-Man on my PS4, you can’t just give me the PS5 version? Or charge me $20-30 for it? I have to spend $70 (plus the original $60) to get the same game and the new DLC game and I can’t even use my old saves so I have to start all over in the game? Really disappointing, I’ll just stick to OG Spider-Man on PS5.

I’m not questioning their tactics to create their own spatial technology for headphones and TV speakers. I’m wondering how they’re going to deliver true 11 channel spatial audio to my setup. I don’t want emulation, I want 3D audio. I guess nobody knows because I can’t find an answer anywhere.
They do what? That 3D sound they’re working on is designed for spatial emulation, it’s not true 11+ channel audio hence why they mention headphones and TV speakers. So I guess the answer is no, Sony has not divulged how they will deliver true 11 channel audio to my receiver. I imagine it will be PCM but I guess nobody knows yet.
Thankfully I wasn’t chosen for that and got one anyways!!
Has Sony said anything else about this “3D audio” nonsense they’re building? I don’t even know if my receiver will decode this new format they’ve decided to create or if it will even play correctly on my speakers. I have a 5.2.4 setup and I was really hoping they would support Atmos like Xbox.

For $120 a year you get all of the newly released games, back log games, EA games, Bethesda games etc. $10 is peanuts, I play more games and more diverse games because of game pass.
It’s the only way to go honestly and you get the best of both worlds! I pre-ordered my PS5 last week from Target and got lucky because it was before everything went to hell fast. Looking forward to a series X tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

They just grew game pass by a ton with this acquisition and they now have all these studios in their pocket to create EXCLUSIVE games on top of all the pre-existing 3rd party multi-platform titles. Xbox gamers won big time today with game pass, especially with the addition of EA games. I’ll play games I probably never would have if I had to pay $70 for them.
