100%. Thank god someone here has a brain. As far as support for positional audio we have neural (fake), Atmos and DTS:X. If Sony doesn’t give us those formats it won’t work on our systems as designed. As far as headphones, yes, this was all about Sony looking for more revenue streams. But the PS fanboys will eat it up and buy expensive headphones and criticize anyone who wants them to support a receiver. Lol. Gullible consumers.

That’s fine but it isn’t available now and that’s my gripe. Xbox has Atmos, Sony has it only for headphones. I’m sorry but they dropped the ball on this for launch. Nope. 7.1 only, no height. I’m stuck with virtualization for my 3D audio as opposed to Atmos with my Xbox X. I want true 3D audio and I’m frustrated it isn’t available at launch.

A couple of thoughts:
3D audio is amazing, Gears 5 has Atmos and it is one of the most insane experiences, the game is totally changed because of it. Helicopters, yelling, bullets whizzing by, it changes gaming. Lol okay. It’s a remaster of a 10 year old game, it’s not a new game. If making graphics prettier qualifies as a new launch game then you can throw in Gears Of War and Forza Horizon as launch games since they got upgraded graphics too. The launch lineups still suck, there’s no new IPs outside Godfall and it appears to suck. 2020 sucks and it shows on launch games, I’m sure Sony had much bigger plans than a Spider-Man add on and a PS3 remaster.

I feel bad for anyone having an issue, that really sucks and is a huge disappointment for an excited buyer. It’s still way too early to say there’s anything wrong with the console. All electronics have issues and we now have a total social media world so these issues will be tracked and magnified even though they’ve been happening for a long time. We’ll see how it plays out.

Nice man!! If you get a Challenger you will love it!! Try to get a scat pack at least, it’s stupid fast. It’s a blast to take to the track and I wasn’t a track driver prior to owning it. The torque down low is a kick in the pants too, squealing tires for days.
