Everything I need to know is that it doesn't look or sound anything like any other games out there, those "cookie cutter" titles. Which, of course, is why it will likely be awesome.
Frankly, I'll believe it when I see it. Although, I do think the console will do fairly well just because it still carries the "Wii" name. And it'll have Zelda, Mario, Mario Kart and SSB. ;)
I agree with rabidpancakeburglar, actually. I enjoyed FFXIII for what it was - it carried you along as it told a story. That's how it was designed and people didn't get that. The linearity worked WITH the story. The characters were running for their lives, how often can you take a side path to talk to some dudes or to hit up a town and stay at an inn overnight when you're being chased relentlessly by the enemy?
It wouldn't have worked without the linearity, IM...
Yeah, not being a fighter fan myself, the one I've gotten into the most in the past is Soul Calibur, so I'm actually looking forward to this.
I can see both sides of the story, it's just hard by looking and reading a review to tell if the reviewer was being serious, or if he was being "venomous", because some writers just have a certain way about them, putting how they feel in stronger words. That doesn't necessarily mean they're trying to go out of their way to kill a game, it just means they write differently than others and interpret what they like and don't like about a game differently.
I've been clamoring for this for a long time. It just straight up makes sense, and I'm unsure why the publishers are so much against the idea, especially the bigger ones like Blizzard.
I made a lot of great friends back in the day when I played Final Fantasy XI, friends in Japan especially. It was a great way to mix cultures and keep the servers lively at the same time.
Of course, then you get those xenophobic idiots who cause trouble, but really, in ...
I hope this title gets some marketing, because it looks great. I was hooked from when I saw it at PAX East.
Well written preview, don't care about the game, though. ;)
Ok, you have a point there. ;)
Just about any other shooter-type-game > COD. Let the flames begin.
Great interviews, especially the last one with Peyton Hillis.
Oh, there's always a reason. I think cloud game saves is a pretty cool idea anyway - PS3 or NGP.
It's about time, that is all I'll say.
Here we go again...
This was actually one of the most interesting and unique smaller titles at PAX East. Pretty cool.
Looks like a pretty cool game, might end up checking it out eventually.
Would be kinda cool if this game just blows people out of the water.
Pretty sweet looking.
I think I want this title, but I want it for the PS3. That Kinect stuff looks wonky.
This game is going to be extra special sexy.
