EA were a joke. Americans don't have a clue about Pele. They're also making a balls up of pga golf. Presentation was garbage.
Fantastic for many, but at e3 many of us prefer to hear about the near future. I have a ps4 myself, so shenmue is of interest as i loved the first on sega dc. I just feel sony used cheap stunts to disguise the lack of near future plans.
Sony have so many fanboys and fan sites who would claim 'victory' regardless. Do you seriously think they would say xbox won if xbox hit out with a remake of a game that's a while away, a kickstarter plea for a game that hasn't started production, and short gameplay on a game that was announced 8 yearsa go. Xbox would have been slated from pillar to post for that !
I'd play a few games from 360. I'm thinking battlefield 3 and max payne 3 for starters. I also think gold should be unified across platforms. I couldn't get a gold game discount on 360, despite having gold on xb1.
Gullible net hype. The game won't move with the times imo, given that it's a remake, and they may use systems ff7 original fans don't like. Some games are best left where they were. Sony were desperate and the hype is for games years down the line via a remake and kickstater. Xbox were alot more impressive, as the focus was on the near future. Sony simply have net gamers and sites eating out their hands.

I never said rare's game would age well, i said their offering is a bigger deal. I think their 30 games will appeal to old school fans, and is value. FF7 is a remake, and not a re-release. That has the potential to go wrong and cheese the orginal FF7 fans off. I just don't buy into hype. I prefer substance.
Microsoft spoke about the near future. From my gaming perspective they won. FF7 doesn't interest me, and in my opinion can't compete with modern rpg's in terms of quality. Yes it was big back then, but if you look at the footage on youtube, it's not going age greatly. I think rares 30 classics on 1 disc is a much bigger deal. I also think shenmue 3 is a bigger deal than a FF7 remake, because it has more scope to get with the times.
I like driveclub alot more than fh2. I'm not biased. I also liked infamous etc.
I agree it's big news. However, if you gave FF7 to a youngster these days, they would throw it in the bin. One of my fav games was gta San andreas, and that i'm afraid didn't age well when i played hd version last year. They will modernize the game, but just because something may sell well, it doesn't guarantee that it will be a great game.
Yeah thought so. The costs were high on dc because the game was ahead of its time. I'm sure they will do a good job. Have to say though, i think i'd rather the characters spoke japanese. I'd be cooler with subtitles.
$2m seems cheap.i haven't looked into it, but doesn't a big game cost a hell of alot more to make.

Have both consoles. From my perspective xbox had best e3 quite easily, and by some distance. There is no guarantee shenmue will age well, and it's years away. I loved shenmue 1 on dc, and would buy it on ps4. Xbox had strong games and back compat and open access for the win, plus the relationship with the pc is strengthening. The division beta will be interesting.
