You know the game is looking good when they have to pick on induvidual character models to prove their cause.
Damn bots...
OMFG I SPOTTED A LOW RES TEXTURE IN HALO3!!
*runs to post on n4...* wait... err? -.-

You are seeing it. The lame-ass ports with bad frame-rates etc. have bad frame-rates because they just port them over to use the RSX as a normal GPU.
Games that do take advantage of the PS3, also use the Cell for graphical calculations, for instance Killzone 2.
Another thing is that the Cell in the PS3 is several years old, what would a newly released Cell with higher clocks and additional cores be able to accomplish?

Exactly, it's built in a very different way, which is proving to work excellently.
Now that's probably why the Cell isn't made the same way your average CPU.
Killzone 2 used 60% of the Cell, When they start using 100%, and then optimizing it even further we will be amazed yet again. The KZ2 engine is also a very young engine, and I suspect it's not much of a resource saver.
The KZ2 devs also stated that they had no problems when it came to memory limitations. The Cell CPU utilizes memory quite differently, and doesn't have such a need for it as re...
The Cell, if used correctly can do both CPU and GPU work. The PS3's GPU is made to support the Cell more than being a full-blown GPU.
Did you ever come to think that the games you mentioned all use less than 30% of the Cell's power, and that they have not even tried to maximize the PS3 when creating them?
And when it comes to physics your little Nvidia physx can go and crash to dust.
Physics is one of the things the cell does best.
What on earth have you been smoking??
I completely agree with everything you said! It's a remarkable experience.
You do realize that the PS3 was in the making as soon as 2 years after PS2 release?
Even if they start planning etc. now, doesn't mean it has to come out tomorrow.
^ yup. Real translation would say: "Maybe a little too few weapons in multiplayer?"
I'm Norwegian, bad translation. It should say: "Hmm ... Hard to say? Maybe a little too few weapons in multi-player?"
Haha, maybe, I havn't met him in real life^^.
All I know is that he's a damn good COD4 player, and that he knows how to write reviews.
My clan-mate wrote this review:D
I know he's been playing the crap out of this game.
Time for the society to embrace gaming!
Dunno, but I know for sure that Gametrailers for a whole year talked down on PS3 graphics, saying they looked "washed out". It all turned out to be that they hadn't put RGB on full. Then they didn't want to do it either, they wanted to review games on the consoles with standard settings. Which is where gametrailers made themselves look like idiots, since the 360 doesn't have HD as standard setting. -.-
It looks washed out like every game does with the RGB setting on limited.
Play the game with RGB on full and it will look alot better.
I don't get how they manage to avoid putting RGB on full:S
I mean, check the difference! It's huge!
I enjoyed the game, it was OK. Paying for DLC? No way in hell^^.
Got enough Ps3 exclusives to play. KZ2, here I come:D
Leyego that was damn unneccesary for those who havn't played it...
WARNING DO NOT READ HIS COMMENT IF YOU HAVN'T PLAYED THE GAME AND SOMEHOW ALREADY SCROLLED PAST IT!
