If the sub HD 360 version didn't stay at 30FPS then something would be very very wrong. But even with such a low resolution it still drops frames anyway.
You're only going to end up spending more money. Renting it over and over and over again will eventually cost more than just buying it. :)
Sony free'd up some nice space in the PS3's RAM. Microsoft should probably do the same with their DVD9s!
The 360 version has a noticeable dither effect that is not present on the PS3 version. That's a bad thing for the 360 version by the way. Everything else is pretty much identical. If anything, the 360 version has a very slight edge on less screen tearing. But it's hardly noticeable, they both tear up pretty badly.

Pretty big difference eh? Now let's multiply that by the amount of frames that both versions get per second.
PS3 921600x20FPS=18432000 pixels
360 589824x30FPS=17694720 pixels
So even though the 360 has a 10FPS advantage a FEW times it is still sub par to ...
