I actually can't wait to play this game. I don't think this is controversial at all. Everyone hates things like Westboro Baptist church which is essentially what this is; an evil brainwashed cult. I'm sure there will be some people who can only see it a certain way given today's issues, but all i see, so far, is an interesting and fun game.
Well, for me I prefer that politics be seperate from games, but I'm not so ignorant as to not believe that a lot of people want some of that these days. If that's the way the tide is turning and it's reflected in reviews and sales, ah well, there's always something else. People are getting too angry over this.
Even if it's a bit obvious and cheap as to why they're going for this setting, it's just one game.

That puyo puyo demo is extremely generous. Single player matches against up to 4 AI, two modes (swap and normal. Normal coming with the option of just Tetris or puyo puyo) and local multiplayer for those modes too.
I used to love this feature. It was disheartening when your nuke finally got taken though, can't defend it 24/7.

Great, you agree. Decent, fun local multiplayer and party play was basically shunned these last two gens by Sony and MS. It annoys me that the fanboys can't see that.
Most gamers have no friends, so online play for the big consoles was forced whilst Nintendo focused on actually getting people into a room together.

What you've described would be so welcome. I desperately want this to carry on the awesome legacy of local play that I've enjoyed with friends and family with the Wii U, Wii and Gamecube (Never had an N64).
Its a bit depressing to not see it on shelves in the big stores here. Even Amazon have none.
