I dont believe Devs will priortise games to run at 8K given the very small number of people who will own 8K TVs, 4K/60 will hopefully be the standard.

Sony must have always planned on using GDDR5 in PS4, otherwise they would have also designed some sort of ESRAM solution to make up for lack of bandwidth.
I cant see PS5 having 24GB of RAM or using HBM2 - 16GB of GDDR6 sound more likely to me.

I was thinking the exact same thing. With Cerny mentioning the SSD's unmatched speeds it could be a small but very fast SSD component hard wired to the board for caching - PCIe 4.0...maybe? This would also mean the standard HDD would still be replaceable.

What does "selling 20 million copies" have to do with other people wanting to stick with PS because they simply enjoy Sony games? Some people just prefer console gaming over PC, their not wrong - they just like different things.

I don't remember claiming either were the best games of all time, not sure where you plucked that one from? In fact my all time top 10 is pretty strict, the only PS4 game that I include is H:ZD (TLOU remastered doesn't count being a PS3 game originally). Then again the last PC game to make that list was Half life...ouch!

I was referring to the the OG consoles. For example the ESRAM debacle - well designed indeed...
I'm absolutely positive the next XB will be more powerful than PS5 on paper. MS will never lose the power crown to Sony ever again because I believe they need it, with the quality of Sony's exclusives i'm not sure they do.
