Movie companies and tech companies did not back Blu-ray so it would be gone in 2 years. They have too much money tied up in the investment of blu-ray that they decide what format is going to be used and when.

I was surprised to see Jak and Daxter on PSP. I was hoping it would be a PS3 game.

If I recall correctly, Sony doesn't own Insomniac because they wanted to stay independent and Sony agreed.
But 2nd party developers like Insomniac, MM, Quantic Dream, Level 5 etc seem to enjoy working for Sony. It sounds like Sony looks after their partners.
