well that the link has nothing to do with the N4G Usaer created description...
Sales and profit fell in all of Microsoft's businesses, except its server business, which managed to squeeze out a 7% rise in revenue and a 24% jump in earnings. Revenue from its entertainment and devices division, which includes the Xbox 360, fell 2% from last year and suffered a loss of $31 million in the quarter. The company's business division sales dropped 5%.

"Microsoft sales fall for first time in 23 years
Software giant revenue drops 6% and earnings plummet 32% as PC sales continue to weaken."
isn't bs.
lol.
Also, I'd love to see the amazing new IP's that were created based on shipped figures & the logic that more consoles = more games. So far we have:
Gears of War 1&2
Mass Effect 1&2
Lips
You're In The Movies
Ninja Blade
Race Pro
How exactly are 360 owners reaping any benefits from shipped figures & new games again? Fallout DLC? GTA DLC? Timed Exclusives? Versus Modes? I think its pretty safe to say that lo...
Yea the unreal engine runs better on the 360 arcade. Killzone2 runs better on the ps3..
What exactly is the point of noticing that the PS3 doesn't get the best code when it comes to multiplatform titles that look decades behind PS3 exclusive titles?
Bad code is bad code, and has nothing to do with performance. thats why the unreal engine always fails when you compare it to any other engine.
at the same time.
fire in the hole
serious lol.. enjoy winning the battle of which multiplatform game looks .04% better when it ultimately looks worse than killzone2/infamous/mgs4/unchar ted yadda yadda yadda.. to help you sleep at night.
Well theres always 2010..maybe Alan wake w.. oh wait thats multiplat too.
Reason #3423523923949 this generation of gaming truly blows. Innovation is feared, monotony and simplifying is praised.
RE is one of the best most memorable games I've ever played in my life.
has trophies.
Yea, because i own a 360.
next.
720p streaming title...with no install...
Killzone2, another title that runs technical circles around any multiplatform title ever created.. requires no install and stream loads.
Its a fact that installs have nothing to do with bluray speed, but developer ability.
If the 360's drive was so fast, Mass Effect wouldn't chu-chu-chug when trying to pop in low resolution textures. Right? Since speed reduces the need for installs.. since it has nothing to do ...
blur studios is working on the CGI trailer as we speak. Will probably be at e3.
I wonder what other hardware builders do that MS isn't doing. Oh nevermind, they aren't rushing their products out the door.
but there is no excuse for it.
"DVD drives spin at high velocity to read the information fast."
So remind me again why all other dvd devices including the xbox1 are virtually silent?
"Fans are running at high speed to move as much heat out as possible. I think they've even increased the fan speed in the newer units."
ditto.
Everyone knows what the cause is, but why was the choice made to go with the cheapest ...
and decibel levels.
its a design flaw, just like RROD. Its what happens when you rush a product to the market.
Edit:
Nor do computer DVD drives..
car navigational dvd drives
personal dvd players
laptop dvd drives..
Hell a computer running Crysis doesn't sound as loud as the 360.
lol.
The unreal engine is underwhelming when it comes to its technical abilities, which is proven by its engine features, and is definitely not pushing any hardware capabilities. Thats not to say that the unreal engine can't make good graphics, but nothing thats going to stand up to MGS4/Killzone2/Uncharted at a technical or overall performance level.
Bioshock/Mirrors Edge/Batman:AA(PC versions)look F`ING GREAT! its good to see them put extra work into the character models versus the ...
