I played quite a lot of Diablo 1, and for the time it was great. Your problem is that you're comparing the game to these other games where you're something special. The guardian of the galaxy, the most powerful man alive, the destined treasure hunter, etc. Anthem you're just an average mercenary, nobody special. You're just another guy with a power suit of armor. If you have to be the center of the universe, then yeah... Anthem isn't for you. They wanted you to feel like a small piece of the puzzle, not the glue that holds it toget...

Compared to the PS2 days I would agree. I think the PS2 had the most action games of any generation. Same with racing games.
