Metroid Prime is pretty realistic and detailed. Pikmin also had some realistic textures going on. Wave Race, F-Zero and 1080 also look fairly detailed and not really "cartoon".

Fighting games aren't all that popular these days, so that's not super surprising. That's good it's selling well though.
Consoles offer that same lovely crashing installing bricking hacking you name it. Don't pretend like they are so perfect when they are far from it.
Realistically it's adding, you wouldn't just throw your PC out the window.... It does many things a console never will. It would be stupid to not just keep it and have both.

No idea where you pulled that from, but I would think if a female were to buy a game, it would be digital. The few females I've known to play games on PC or consoles have only played whatever games due to their boyfriend playing that game. Once they broke up or got tired of that one game they never played anything else.
