Captain PWN expects Microsoft to release an external Blu-ray disc drive by the end of the year, with HD DVD association announcing to endeavour in "Digital formats" in early 2009. By early 2009 Paramount will be back with Bluray and by then Universal will have already made the switch.
Toshiba is definitely not dead. They're lineup and variety of products is just too much for them to "die." But, the High Definition DVD format company is most likely dead.
In 1 press release, they're realizing they're company is dead. Microsoft can't help it, because no XBOX 360 will overtake the 8M PS3's already in people's homes, and it's not like they'll be selling a lot of 360's with PS3 games line up for this year. HD DVD is dead. Blu ray is the PRESENT.

All because of the last gen 360, this game no longer made the AAA status. Of course, the 360 version will score around 80 most likely BECAUSE of the long load times, which is due to:
- The non mandatory hard drive and no install feature like the PS3 version
- The PLAYSTATION 3 SIXAXIS controller was made for DMC, not 360 controllers.
- SIXAXIS motion sensing functionality is ONLY found on PS3.
- It was originally made with PS3 in mind, meaning a better expe...
Then why isn't MGS4 or FFXIII going to 360? Why is Rockstar creating a new exclusive game for PS3? Why did Ubisoft cancel XBOX 360 development of HAze?

Rockstar isn't going to limit their potential by developing on inferior hardware. They'll sell just enough on PS3, and 360 owners will probably be happy still playing Halo 3.

Call of Duty 4 is a great game, and my FPS of the year, but I'd definitely choose Uncharted as GoTY for PS3. It's the first game where I didn't ever think about skipping the cut scenes, and it had this intensity that made me feel anxious when something was happening to Nathan or Elena. The way it connected, the way the graphics were perfect to every detail, the story, and shooting up pirates. That was Uncharted. Sony's European blog already confirmed a set release date of September for Killzone 2 and October for LittleBigPlanet. Sony's not stupid enough to release the 2 biggest 1st party games they have in the first half, its holiday season for those 2. And, they need to do that to build up the hype around them. GTA 4 will sell. It could've came out the same day as Halo 3, and it would've still sold millions. GTA4 is already a proven franchise, and WILL sell millions no matter when it arrives.
HD DVD will be in the 360 soon, and Bluray will be in the Mac soon. That's all we know prior to CES. I can guarantee you all after CES you guys will all be surprised at all the news and will come to the realization that the format war isn't ending any time soon.
