It took Sony 5 years to redesign the PS2, they wont rush the PS3. Besides, its not like the crappy designed 360. Things like the cell, bluray, and RSX add weight to the system, weight they can't put down unless they want to make hardware as sh1tty as the 360.

HD DVD players are on a massive clearance sale. Warner bros didn't want to stay on Bluray because the discs weren't selling. HD DVD is as dead as your XBOX, and as useless too. 5 out of 7 major studios are bluray exclusive, and the only 2 that aren't will be soon. HD DVD players aren't selling too well, even at a super low price. Discs aren't selling. No one cares about it. HD DVD is now HD DVdead.

PS3 is an extremely powerful technology, and this is Free Radicals first time on it. They have an extremely unique and awesome concept, but according to previews, it just needs a bit of fine tuning. This release date is speculation, however, it's extremely probable. Ubisoft's official release date is now from April 1, 2008, to March.31, 2009.
