In my mind, this is a big deal. Remember when the Division trailer first released and we were all freaking out that the player closed the car down upon walking next to it?? Well.. that’s the kind of animation that’s in this game. Super attention to detail and borderline realistic. Absolutely mind-numbingly awesome.
I noticed when Gin was walking above the enemies in the shrine, it looked like his movement was a little jittery. I’m sure the game is a long ways out, but that’s something I noticed.
Every game mechanic/animation/AI behavior shown in the demo is said to be in the game.
@Septic....
That doesn’t take away ANYTHING Neil said.
Every gameplay mechanic/ AI behavior shown is in the game. Instead of having it be completely random, they have a segment that showcases what the game can do.
You are intentionally grabbing at invisibile straws.
No, he wasn’t right. It’s quite difficult to misinterpet the word ‘FAKE’. It’s been said by the devs that everything shown is one way or another in the game. This is just one segment of gameplay shown that highlights these mechanics and makes it look seamless. It will be quite a different experience when someone else is playing, but all that means is it won’t be the same sequence because every playthrough will be different.
@Septic.
Every AI behavior seen on screen is on the game. It has been confirmed.
@Septic
You are REALLY DENSE right here.
Every gameplay mechanic that we say was in the game.... from dodging into a car and coming back up to stab an enemy in the throat... to picking up an arrow and seeminglessly putting it into her backpack, to enemy AI looking under vehicles to pulling you out, to having an enemy shoot an arrow at a body that you have in your arms, to shimmying through shelves.. ... . it’s IN the game.. You are taking ‘scripted’ as...
How did you draw that sarcastic point from these comments?

"Gears 5, Forza Horizon 4, Ori, Crackdown 3. Not a bad set of upcoming games. But no, probably not enough to justify getting an Xbox One for alone”
-- I agree. There’s a serious problem if you can’t justify buying a system for 4 games.
"But in every single aspect other than exclusives, Xbox One is the better system. That's what they showed this E3.”
No.. Xbox One X is the better platform than the S, not the Pro. I...

"You're not paying attention if you don't see it in Tsushima - look at the very first kill for an example. What do you think the player did? Press one button at the right time”.
Sigh. That isn’t what a QTE is. A QTE involves a prompt on screen for the player to interact with it in order to perfom an action. Ryse had this when enemies turned yellow or blue. God of War 1-3 had this when beating bigger enemies and bosses. In Ghost, it d...
Just added Ellie to my Desktop.
Since 2007, NaughtyDog has clearly demonstrated why they are a top tier video game developer. I’m going to be truly sad when this IP gets put to rest.
Sorry, you don’t know what you’re talking about.
I know. I felt it was building up each time it was shown for a final reveal at the end.
@Emperor
“Sony had no surprises at all”
I think the spectacular gameplay footage was a really good surprise. What’s wrong with third person, story driven action games?
“Spiderman and Tsushima used very similar QTE combat”
Spiderman gameplay is fantastic. It’s an updated, more stylish version of the arkham combat. Ghost’s combat only QTE that i noticed was when he jumped down and killed the 3 men. Nothing else about made it feel...
Seems like a high estimate for Xbox.
2.26M at retail, 0.84M download.. in 3 days. That’s still an incredible feat.
Nah. I think Sony won.
In 2018 alone PS4 has (will have) these exclusives:
Final Fantasy Dissidia NT
Shadow of The Colossus Remake
Kni No Kuni 2
Yakuza 6
MLB The Show 18
God of War
Detroit Become Human
Yakuza Kiwami 2
Spiderman
First of the North Star
Dreams (maybe?)
Not to mention all of the PSVR games.
---And that’s all I can think of.
Xbox exclusives...
The only thing that turned me off was the format of the conference. Overall they showed off 4 big games in detail, including other surprising games that made it a fine E3. I'm sure they'll take a different approach next year.
I would expect something new at PSX.
