Well, the only way I can empathise with a character is if they're the same colour and sex as me.

I'm no software developer, but I like to think I have at least 2 brain cells and so I immediately knew that current consoles would hold back next gen games in many different ways. It's just a very common sense, almost self evident objective fact.

Sadly, you are absolutely right.
Sony clearly deserves their money a lot more, but there will be millions of xbox fans on release day ready to invest in a console with very little exclusives support for the whole of another generation.
It's maddening.
As good as sony is at reinvesting into my beloved hobby, imagine what they could do if xbox die hards gave them their money instead of so freely giving it to ms.
