I'm part of the younger generation and I've played 4,6,7,8,9,10,13. I like 13, but I do agree that it isn't as good as the older ones like 4-10, but I still enjoyed and think it's agood game, just not my favorite.
I actually played Crisis Core before I played FF7, but I knew Cloud was the main character of FF7. I didn't know about Zack or how he would fit in to the main game and because of that the story was really good. Not know hat happened made that final scene one of the best scenes I have ever viewed. It was animated beautifully, the music was very fitting, and the words and voice acting were superb. The ending made the game one of my favorites ever.
The writer had a lot more to say than "It looked good." The things they showed off were vast improvements over what they had at launch. The
things Yoshida said about making it feel like a true FF are very promising and he seems to be showing how serious he is about adding in stuff from the classic FF games.
Will the multiplayer include any naval battles cause if they can do naval battles right with multiplayer that would be a great feature to the game. There aren't really any games that I know that are naval oriented. It could be cool.
Yeah he talked about it in this interview so I think it will happend eventually.
They should definitely put a Tetra Master type game in here and have tournaments for prizes and things. That would definitely make FF14 feel like a true FF.

I've read nearly all of Nomura's interviews in the past year about KH and he's constantly said that they were doing HD tests. I also remember him saying something about wanting to have an analog stick for 358/2 Days. And multiple times he has expressed concern on the series being spread out over many consoles and he wanted to do something about that, whether it be a recap in the form of a scene in the beginning of KH3 or writing or something. Hopefully they don't stop with these. Seeing the golden saucer in HD with real people around you should be very fun. And really seeing any place from previous FF games in HD should be a really cool thing. Maybe they'll make the Lunar Whale an airship. I'd love to see that thing flying over head.

Umm... I'm pretty sure Yoshida is the replacement of the original guy in charge. Yoshida is just re doing the game to make it actually playable. And why are you getting mad at him. He was asked about and this was his response it's not like he's bashing the Vita or anything he's just saying right now putting an MMO on a handheld with currently low sale numbers wouldn't be proffitable.
Final Fantasy has no doubt inspired a lot of game designers and changed a lot of people's lives. And the MMO's aren't a joke FF11 is regarded as one of the best MMo's out there and FF14 is turning things around very well. But you can't blame them. Mario games sell a lot. They make a ton of money off them. And anyway some of the games are different like the sports and Mario Party. I understand that they should really work on things besides Mario too, but when they're making so much money why would they.

If this game is even half as good as Deus Ex Human Revolution then I'll have to try it out. Deus Ex is one of my favorite games this gen and although this doesn't look as good as DE it still looks pretty good and very fun.
I wanted to get it, but I still never got around to getting it. I know the soundtrack was supposed to be good, but I don't know why I still haven't played it. Is the story and gameplay good?
Honestly I think a lot of FFs have better stories than Uncharted. Deus Ex also has a great story, but there is a lot more to FF than you think. The stories are usually deep, sometimes complicated, and pretty good. Like Gespent said you seem to have a closed mind to a fantasy setting. They're not really all that childish either.
