I like it, with the way these games are progressing, maybe one day we'll get something close to Naruto MMO-Fighter. :) I want!
I managed to finish FFXIII, but quit in the post game. It's just far too tedious and boring to get the gil needed to buy any ultimate weapons.
The game, by FF standards, was terrible. And all I'd get for a trade is 20 bucks (maybe), so I suppose I'll just keep it and it will collect dust on my shelf.
While I agree it looks terrible, you guys do know that the redness of the eyes is just from the irritation on the skin.
All tattoos look like that after getting them done. The eyes would look normal now (if this photo was taken a while ago).
I don't know why everyone is expecting something from versus to make up for XIII. We know just about nothing about it, have seen no game footage, heck we don't even know if its really gonna be an RPG, or an action-RPG like Kingdom Hearts.
I'm guessing its gonna be a ~20 hr action-rpg title. Who cares if that goes multi-plat.
FF was born on a Nintendo BTW, I don't understand the Sony fanboy-ism for this game.

FFXIII was great until I realized I had to kill 100+ Adamantoises in the post-game to get just one Ultimate Weapon, 10x that to get the Treasure Hunter trophy. :(
There's always been tedious chores to do in FF's but that is just ridiculous.
This is exciting, it would be nice to see what happens to Minato after P3, especially since it's hinted at in P4... but I didn't really like the main char at all, I much preferred P4's MC.

How long did they consider MGS4 was? Because, that game was only 10-15 hours max. I think it was like 2.5 for the big boss badge IIRC.
Barthandelus in XIII was pretty lame, even if it wasn't hermaphrodite lame like almost all other FF villains, he was pretty lame.

Isn't that good enough for you? Jeez. I'd take Halo or Alan Wake at 576p on my PS3 if they were ever ported without whining... even on 3 discs if necessary. It's not like the price is higher or anything.

I remember FFX being fairly linear as well, but that turned out to be pretty good. There hasn't been an open world map since FFIX.
Try beating the final quest monster in FFXII. 5 Million HP :D. I never tried it, but supposedly it take many, many hours (you can stop and save in the middle). I just beat Liz on P3 FES, and that was probably the hardest boss I've fought.
The thing that bothers me is that they let you level to 99, but all the bosses (storyline bosses) are around 70s-80s. Why not cap you at 80 then?

Does anyone seriously consider FF a JRPG? I think they are more a genre of their own (FFRPG?). The reason many JRPG's don't sell well here in America is because they have lower budgets, and not much room for advertisements. If every little JRPG that came out had the same hype as Dragon Age, or an FF title, they would sell just as well.
Back in the 8/16bit era's everyone pretty much made games on the same level, in the same playing field. No one ...
They tried to make crash bandicoot the PS face back in the 90's IIRC. Although, that didn't really go anywhere.
True, but how many 4 player games are even out there nowadays for any console, much less that would be made to work with Natal or Move?
