But they are adding Shani in the coming expansion. Triss'll be old news again.
Don't act like no fans of the original want to play it in a new way either. I'd be happy with any battle system that's not the FF13 one, to include action rpg combat.
... but I think Tomb Raider has been dead for a while. :)
BTW, why the hell is that woman famous? What does she do?
Isn't this pretty obvious considering the 360 has more owners?
Obvious fact is obvious. :)
I bought mine for this game... and Persona 3 Portable.
PSP Phone will never happen because Sony want's it's hardware to have a 10 yr life cycle. No one keeps a single cellphone that long.
If they managed to get the "Full Game Trial" working they should do some form of game rental service. They'd both need the same mechanics/control systems to block access after a certain point in time.
I'd get PSN+ for that.
Might just be a dead power supply (brick), and not the 360, but either way you cannot play what you paid for.
Is this game gonna play like Crisis Core? Looks like it's gonna be an action-RPG.
I think everyone expecting this to be the best JRPG ever made or something at least that makes up for XIII are going to be severely disappointed, because I doubt it will be one.
Why is this on the front page?
Plus most titles are only a few bucks (or less) at any game store. I can buy 2 or 3 (or more) physical ps2 titles for the price of one PSN game.
I got MGS 2 and 3 for like 8 bucks total the other day.
I have a sneaking suspicion that this is not a game at all, but some kind of new tech, or game content delivery scheme... something like that.
Or, unfortunately, it could be some lame game for Natal/Move that no one cares about.
I'd certainly be excited for a DQX, at least if it was on a console instead of a handheld.
What I'd like to see, instead of a remake is SQEENIX bringing back the best parts of FFVII, namely the Weapons (The boss monsters, not blades), Materia, Chocobo Racing and Breeding, and the limit breaks. And OF COURSE, the open world map.
That's all I care about, I already know the story of VII, give us something new.
Oh yeah, and Cid :)
You guys are way too optimistic about this game. NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!!
I am willing to bet that this will be a short, cutscene-filled action RPG similar to Crisis Core with about 20 hrs of gameplay. It's not gonna be the savior RPG of the century everyone seems to be hoping for.
Success makes you lazy and dull. Square needs to lose a few battles, crawl back to the drawing board with their tail between their legs, and come back with renewed vigor. Giant corp's only see profit potential, they could care less about content.
As for now, I think Atlus has become the new king of JRPG's.
I'm pretty sure FFXIII cost a lot due to the new engine. Once you have the engine, it's comparably cheap to make new titles. It's just too bad they didnt do anything else with FFXII's.
I'd assume it's much, much cheaper to make Versus than XIII. Probably because it isn't a 40-50 hr RPG, but a shorter Action RPG (This is just my thinking, unconfirmed in any way).
Good, bad, or so-so doesn't matter, it was heavy on the story side... which is contrary to this report/article.
BTW, how about a spoiler alert on all those endings. I'm playing Crisis Core right now, so I'm going to pretend I didn't read that. :)
XIII's story was mostly about politics and xenophobia and I actually found it rather interesting... although it didn't really go as far as it could.
This doesn't make sense when considering FFXIII was almost all story and a little gameplay.
Plus FFXII was awesome, best FF in the last decade (yup, better than X)
Good thing so many gamers have liberal arts degrees...
