Is the 40 gig backwards compatiable? Because if not I wouldn't recommend that to anyone. Your best bet is to wait a year or 2 for the bigger models to become more affordable.

I'm a strictly 360 fan and could careless about PS3 and it's games. Now after saying that I think LBP,Socom, and RFom 2 will be really good and will eventually get one since I hate missing out on good games period. Being a gamer for 35 years I don't see how anyone could pass up and deny good looking games as great just because there on a different platform. Not sure if you have a 360 but you would be a fool to pass it up and not enjoy games that are really delivering.
The PS3 hasn't shown any type of graphical advantages over 360 and not even with Uncharted that breaks even with Gears. Also the PS3 might of had a few victorious months by a few thousand or so but I can gauruntee you not any more. Even though it did sell more the 360 absolutely killed it in software and services while providing as usual a better online experience. If LBP,RFOM, and KZ2 don't or only sales a couple million each it's safe to say the PS3 is in big trouble.
God of War 1 and 2 were not better then many games on 360 and PS3 due to it's basic ridiculously boring game play mechanics. The only thing that has ever been good about it is the story not the gameplay and this is why people always laugh at it in comparison to NG gameplay the same way they laugh at NG's story line. It's hilarious how Sony fanboys put that game up there like it's the sh!t when really it's nothing more then a good story.

Sounds great Hd but my family uses the 360 to play games and occasionally watch movies as it was intended for. The games are fun but we leave it at that and spend most of our time out of the house doing things as a family should do rather then focusing on a game platform. The PS3 sounds great but I personally don't need all that and would much rather live then dream about a ps3.

LBP is not a tidal wave and wont even do well so get over it. Gears will sell more then both LBP,RFOM2, and Socom combined.
