I'm a PS3 owner and I can admit Milo looks way beyond EyePet.
I mean, the voice interaction alone is amazing.
Milo's not something that couldn't eventually end up on PS3, of course, but I'm happy to say that it has trumped EyePet for now.
And to be honest, that furball always creeped me out.
Milo's (to quote Pinocchio) a real boy!
As a PS3 owner (have to say that as a disclaimer), I was amazed by the interaction. When she said "you're in front of thousands of people" and he replies "thousands of people?" I wondered if the interaction could really be that deep, but if it is, that is amazing.
And this is Lionhead we're talking about!
Pedo's dream? Pfft. Not by Japanese standards :)
The idea that the name "Solid" is poking fun at Square is particularly amusing. :)
According to the article, the "Solid" name holds 3 meanings:
1. Solid Snake
2. Three-dimensional game
3. A joke at Square (now Square Enix)
Could be a load of silliness, though.
Totally amazed by the footage shown. Milo looked like (to quote Pinocchio) a real boy.
I wondered how deep and broad a game like this could be, but then I remembered this is the Fable guy we're talking about, and this could be a very rich game.
Makes me want a 360, for sure. That and the announced Raiden game.
Don't shoot the messenger!
The article in Pediatrics is called Dying to Play Videogames.
The article recommends safety warnings to make parents cautious about videogame use after a disaster.
Blaming the generators directly is the same fallback as blaming the knife after a gaming-related stabbing. Yes, we all know that it was the generator use that caused the CO poisoning, but if you read carefully, the point is that the generator use mainly stemmed from...
Yep, and great to see the evolution of the series.
Well, it appears they were playing games after the hurricane for post-disaster relief for the children.
You can blame stupidity and inability to read instructions, but following a disaster CO poisoning cases *are* expected, so it's inevitable.
And yes, the generators are the direct cause of the CO emission, but the study points out that console use was the major reason for using the generators, as opposed to what you'd normally assume, such as things like lighting, a...
Apparently not banned!

Well, these parents seem to be facing a lot of resistance to just turning off the game. The kids are apparently skipping school to play in internet cafes, stealing money to fund their habits, and threatening suicide if their parents try to stop them playing.
I totally buy that there's a level of addiction to gaming that requires an intervention such as this.
Reckon they hit his weakspot for massive damage?
It's a shame but I'm slightly amused that these complaining gamers can't just live and let live: they suffered to reach their level, and it probably eats at them that someone got there without suffering.
Some of those vids ought to come with an epilepsy warning.
Glad to see this has been pulled off shelves in Japan, now.
Nothing bad will happen in the game, but I think PETA doesn't like that the game is associated with the Ringling Brothers circus.
As with most of their campaigns, I'm sure it's more about the publicity.
It's not like they really wanted to rename seahorses, or really wanted the Pet Shop Boys to change their name. Crazy stuff like this grabs the headlines.
Free is my favourite price!
It's a pic from one of PETA's campaigns, I believe :)
Search "Rakhi Sawant", she's hotter without the furry :O
Colours more muted, lighter skinned kid, more feathers, and a cloudier sky. They added some foreboding cliffs to the horizon, also.
