"To get the $55, a gamer "must attest under oath to their purchase of the product and installation of Linux, provide proof of their purchase or serial number and PlayStation Network Sign-in ID, and submit some proof of their use of the Other OS functionality.""
Can't see many people being bothered to complete this process, even if they meet the criteria
"Resident Evil 7 is Written by a Westerner For First Time Ever"
Well it's not like anyone else has written Resident Evil 7 before this :P
I wonder if they will charge for the next issue.
Opera is coming to Sony Bravias, so Opera is a good bet.
Opera is coming to Sony Bravia televisions.
I'd expect Opera to end up on PS3, too, rather than Chrome.
Had to get the EA download manager, which seems unnecessary, but yay, free game.
Loved this on the PS3 but never got the addons.
Isn't that the point? The story (when it was believed to be true, at least) wasn't about gaming causing violence or death, and yet all those headlines tried to squeeze in the word "console" or "Xbox", because linking gaming and death, no matter how tenuous the link, is something the media loves to do.
If they'd suspected he'd hung himself with a television cord, I bet there wouldn't be a "HANGED BY HIS TELEVISION" headline.
None of those websites will publish any retractions.

BREAKING NEWS.
I'm never having kids.
While I agree that R18+ games should be allowed in Australia (the rating is there to make sure kids *don't* play the games, so why ban it?), your argument seems rather one sided. You refuse to admit that gaming can have a bad influence on kids, and if there is any, you blame the parents, but in the same argument you happily accept that games can have a good influence on kids.
I think merely by admitting that games can influence people, we should accept that they can have both a p...
I don't use "Other OS" and I don't feel it will be a PR disaster for Sony, and I don't entirely agree with this article that the loss of "Other OS" will drive piracy through this "custom firmware", as that's a lot of speculation and extrapolation.
However, for anyone to tell someone who wants to keep the Other OS option "don't update, then" seems unreasonable. Sony are presenting Other OS users with an ultimatum, a dilemma. Either way, they...
I've never been that eager to play something that I need it at midnight.
Don't know why anyone would assume it was a prank. If it were a prank, it would be a dull, unfunny one, and I don't know that Sony would court bad PR or make reference to security risks for the sake of a joke.
Nice to see Flower get a nod.
Strange logic. It's as though he's presenting a family purchase as a new idea.
Good news, ladies!
I hope the European version is updated with motion controller support. The "magic card" that comes with the game is way too fiddly.
I wanna roll with him,
A hard pair we will be,
I don't give a crap 'bout whales,
So go and hug a tree
(I LOVE IT)
The trailer narration and colour palette make me think it will be bright in tone.
Which would be a good counterbalance to the dark, broody Arkham games.
