I was actually in the beta and this game was pretty good, but this article does make the point that by it's very nature (i.e. being an online only game) it will take time to realize the games full potential.
I think we are seeing one of the biggest flaws in the current review system, and that is some games take a while to demonstrate what is really possible, but these review sites don't get hits for doing the job of reviewing correct, they get hits for doing it first. Can't really blam...

The "erotic" section of gaming will probably become legitimized once they can achieve an acceptable level of fidelity. Unlike traditional gaming, there needs to be a certain level of believability before people begin to really blur the line and until that happens I think it will just be a novelty.

Seems like it would serve 2K right for releasing the 1st one so late on the PS3. There is something to be said about releasing a product when it's hot, you do timed exclusive shenanigans and you might end up paying the price, it's the way of the world.
