Depending of game and how this is executed, realistic billboards in the background might even make the game better. Like sport games, or games where you're in a city..
The "nightmare scenario" is if they start putting "banners" in games. Or developers avoiding making games that can't blend in ads, like God of War for example..
The article mentions nothing about ps3, yet the title on N4G and the image reads "Better Than PS3", and the description "...can finally avoid parking a PS3 under the TV. Hallelujah, praise be to Sony! ".
The article title, description and image is not the place for personal opinions..
It's sad to see EA ruining the video game industry.
I wish we as gamers could organize and boycott EA until they stop buying other companies so they can keep releasing trash without any competition.
Edit:
oh they've already said no, I didt read the whole thing.. phew
I loved Motorstorm online. It's prolly the game I've had most fun with online, but it really bothered me that there was no split screen.
4 player split screen = must buy for me.
But I really don't want them to leave the desert area, I liked it there.
Also, hope they don't try to milk us on money as they did with Motorstorm. Finish the game before releasing it, instead of releasing monthly DLCs
Not really satisfied with default controls, I just hope we'll be able to change the controls ourselves.. I want to take cover with L1 and shoot with R1.
L1 is too important to be wasted on calling taxis!
I think they are basing the control layouts on previews from other mags/sites, which explains why they're incomplete
"Unfortunately, we weren’t allowed to take pictures of the new FFXIII trailer and concept art he had to show us, but we can point out some of the highlights."
"The new trailer featured tons of CG, but also some in-game battle. Huge airships, something like dragons, and of course, Lightening herself, flew through the air. We saw her fighting a huge purplish ogre monster, and later against a swat team-like force in yellow uniforms and white masks. A blond fellow pull...
They introduced Jackie boy as "someone who has studied campus shootings", as if he actually did investigate it and came to the conclusion that video games are responsible.
In reality Jackie made up his mind about video games long ago and tries to find as many bad things as he can to blame on video games. No wonder this is on FOX, Jack & FOX really deserve each other.
What really makes me sick is how that scumbag uses this tragedy to push his own propaganda..
As an European PS3-owner, it is kind of hard to admit that what the guy in the article is writing is true. But it is.
A few months ago we had to pay much more than Americans for a product that wasn't as good (lack of EE-chip). A PS3 in Sweden cost 6000skr. That is 900$!. Now the EE-chip is gone in US too, but our PS3 still costs way more.
And the delayed games are annoying, but something Europeans have grown used to. However the delays on PSN are just ridiculous, and there'...
Typical Penny Arcade, they never miss an opportunity to bash the PS3..
That's Kotaku for you..
Since when does EA care about making quality games? And their plan to get high scores is a LOTR game? They must be kidding
Seriously, that article was horribly written. The guy reasons like a 10-year old.
"Have some respect, for the fallen, and for other’s opinions".
He's trying to twist people's feelings of being fed up with WWII shooters into them disrespecting the casualties of WWII. And he obviously doesn't have respect for their opinions.
The fact is that there has been very many shooters based on this one specific war, and that most of them are pretty much the same ...
I think it's very likely that the "rumor" is true, several Sony studios (such as Team ICO) haven't announced games yet.
But while this does sound like great news to me as a PS3 owner, let's keep in mind that a bunch of those games most likely only will be sold over PSN and not on Blu-ray.. Can't wait to find out about more about these games tho!
Yeah, the movie version of the comics (err.. graphic novels.. =) is one of very few that actually was good, stayed true to the original material and satisfied the hardcore fans. I doubt that will be the case with this game..
Has Red Mile (their games: http://www.redmileentertain... ) really proven themselves worthy of a license of Sin City's caliber?
I hope for the best, but am prepared for t...
Tekken 6 and FF13. And White Knight for lovers of jrpg. And maybe The Agency..? Little is known of Heavy Rain, but people got high hopes. Motorstorm 2 and a new Jak & Dexter are rumored..
yup, shaping up to be a good year =)
can never have too much umph
Funny how some claim that LBP is for kids, but the people that are interested in the game express themselves overall way more maturely than those who bash it..
Sure makes you wonder.
What I know about it so far:
You play as one of two factions (Mantel & Rebels), and the gameplay differs a lot between the two factions.
Mantel uses a drug called "Nectar". It makes them stronger, faster, more accurate shooters, they detect mines and people easier and other stuff.
But Rebels can use Nectar against mantle, by for example making a "Nectar bomb", which causes Mantel soldiers to be unable to tell who is a friend and who is a fo...
Hasn't this already been covered? http://www.n4g.com/industry...
In fact, it's reached 450 degrees and is on the top 3 news at the PS3 page...
Adding the link to alternative sources would've made more sense.
