I think it's that sentiment that has prompted them to launch this range. Nothing like marque brand to raise a company's perceived quality level!
Completely agree. COunter Strike was so *clean* you felt rewarded with every good shot, you had good days and bad days and there was *always* someone better than you.
Someone will get that magic formula again some day...
Mouse and WASD ftw!
I'm not a big lamer of stories - but analysts stating the bleeding obvious is verging on non-news
There's a separate piece (probably from the same interview) about why good hardare helps gaming (vested & interest spring to mind) But not sure if it merits a separate submission.
It's linked off the right of the article
If someone thinks it is - then they are welcome to submit it :)
Interesting move - change of management might help with the old Kane and Lynch sacking reputation snafu
I think at some point he will relinquish some of those positions.
You've got to love the respect given to the father of PS! AN intelligent man, and it's interesting to see his reaction on what has been a difficult past 18 months for the PlayStation brand as well as focusing on what is likely to be a positive 18 months ahead for PS3 and PSP
"colcing up"
Perhaps should be clocking MCV!
This hit MSN UK's homepage titled as 'PC gaming has had its day' but when you read the article it's actually saying the complete opposite.
But is it the best for gaming?
As the article *clearly* states, it's a cheap knock off branded with the PSP logo.
The article doesn't lie, or pretend it's official and of course it's interesting to people which is why it gets over 1000 degrees.
The N4G headline reflects that it's not an official Sony product.
So why the hate?
I've added in the original source of the quotes.
Thing is - how many big manufacturers would go with XP ahead of LInuz despite the former costing more?
What's the old joke Ballmer talking to Gates:
"Bill, the good news is that 3/4 of China are using XP, but the bad news is that we've only sold them one disc."
He wrote this a while ago - but it's always good to bring these things back up again. Bring back Ken...
It's a blog by one writer. How is that the whole site? It's an opinion piece.
It's all smoke and mirrors and both Sony and Microsoft are as bad as each other. Rather than celebrate the fact that the game in reinvigorating the market they are focusing on the console wars.
All current signs suggest that there is room for BOTH consoles to perform very profitably.
If any of you have worked in gaming you will know the sheer volume of spurious hyperbole you are served with on a daily basis beggars belief.
I find your misuse of the apostrophe in "it's" disturbing and upsetting
In terms of percentage of gamers reached PS3 is doing better. It has a point even if you don't agree with the tone of the article.
If MS says they have sold more then that's a fair claim
BUT If MS says it's more 'popular with gamers' then it's fair to point out that the reach of GTA4 on the PS3 is greater than that of the Xbox in terms of the percentage of console owners who have bought a copy.
Let's not turn this into fanboyism in the comments
They both had the potential to be great but fell short - one by more than the other.
Did you just look at the pictures or did you read all those word things too?
I think you'd be genuinely stunned at how many fairly keen gamers are too scared to pick up a screwdriver and build their own.
