The Kinect wasn't cut. A new sku without the Kinect is available along with the sku with Kinect is still available.
How is the combining telling? Sony lumps their consoles together also in their financial reports.

They didn't cut it. It is still being sold. There is an option of buying with it or without it.
Yes, you can go straight to where you want instead of navigating to it with the controller. The controller is quicker for some things and the Kinect is quicker for other things.

Lol. With that logic, why would you pay for internet, Xbox Live Gold/PSN and any games? I'm assuming you don't pay for Gold though since you say you are a PS4 and Wii U owner. So why's it matter to you?
