Am I missing something?
From the link you provided, NPD totals up through November 08:
360: 3,295,400
PS3: 2,818,900
Difference: 476,500
Where do you get 'MS is ahead by more than 800,000 units' from? I'm just saying.
Edit: Damnit, I sigh and say 'he's not gonna respond' then you respond. But like a good man who admits an error, I respect that. No, I'm not in it to debate my friend, only to point out the error. I have since ch...
How about you use your skills on the flip side of the coin? It's easy to win arguments on the winning team, your talents and rationale are wasted in trying to point out the obvious. I'd like to see you debate on the losing team for once and see the real talent flow! Now that would be a nice change of pace! To put it into perspective, your debates (as well thought-out as they come) are like the little dude in the second Conan movie that stabs the end boss that's already dead. Or is lookin...
Just commented how there will be a retaliation article to the pretty weak 360 sales in Japan article and 'boom' here it is. This is getting pretty pathetic. The more the articles keep popping up (for any console) the more desperate it seems these contributors are getting...
I fully expect a 'PS3 sales drop in Japan' article coming up in retaliation.
And the 'doom' campaign continues. I just don't get it...
Whoa, can't wait to see who is #1!
Fox, I feel ya. I can bench almost twice my weight and my watch is more expensive than my launch 360. The old 'hardcore gamer' stigma is gone.
Blu-Ray damnit!
Too many other options to spend the money on (like my ISP for example) but to those that did, as long as you enjoy the game that's all that matters.
To me it's the greatest part about it. Now if it wasn't optional and you HAD to download and use it, that would sux.
It's been a while since I've spent 100+ hours on an RPG!
Now that we see that no one is doomed, lets get back to some 'feel good' gamer news please.
That was a good one!
Maybe Sony will outsell 360 for the year 2008, that might help ease up the 'gloom' and 'doom' articles. Worldwide, mind you.
At least it's free and optional. I don't see the hardcore fans running around in Home for hours at a time. Probably just to meet up with friends then game on.
Asset.
It's optional. But I'm not sure about the 'clunky and awkward' comment. I just finished downloading it, creating my character, walking around, chatting, dancing, playing chess and pool. Clunky and awkward isn't what came to my mind. Simplicity and ease of use is the impression I got. Optional should be the key point though. I'm sure it's not going to be for everybody.
Scoring something that isn't a game? And in beta form, no less. Impressions, yes. Reviews, huh?
is killing PC gaming. Dev's don't want to make games that won't sell cuz you can torrent them for free. That's a big problem. Oh, that and Vista. I'm still using XP Pro :)
who outsells who, as long as they (choose a platform, have them all, I don't care) keep coming out with great games to play then that's all that matters to me.
