I will actually agree to that, and I think it's because they both had those Truth Glyph Puzzles. Those were awesome
Loved Brotherhood, but still like AC2 better :p and both those games have the best soundtracks of all
When will Ubisoft bring back the truth Puzzle glyphs from AC2 and Brotherhood??
@Mike - AC 2 was the best game in the series.
@Ermac - AC 2 was actually the only mainline game that was released more than a year after its predecessor. It released in 2009 after AC (2007). Following AC2 was Brotherhood (2010) and Revelations (2011) AC3 (2012) etc
And as far as AC3 having a '2012 generic doomsday plot' is concerned, I think you're overlooking the fact that the entire AC series from its inception centred around the December 2012 ...
I believe the answer to that question lies within you :p

Game is definitely set in Africa, Baobab trees are a dead give-away. Possibly South Africa; enemy accents are 100% South African, also the initial reveal trailer showed the coast line of South Africa. Hope Drake makes a turn around Durban :D

But that is exactly what he's saying. He never mentioned that the story is boring, just that the gameplay seems boring.
Personally, I wouldn't say it seems boring. My favourite genre happens to be third-person anything really. I just felt like the gameplay reveal was a bit of an anti-climax.
