There's that word again, if you are paying good money for a product, you expect quality. Consumer backlash, more often than not, is due to companies bending people over and exploiting them, and then when people complain about their crap, you just label them as entitled, further enabling their bad business practices. Buy products from good companies, boycott ones from the bad.
