Tomb Raider was the right way to do a reboot, if anything failed as a reboot, it would be DmC.
While that sounds like a good idea, the media outcry from a kids games being turned in GTA would be huge, well that and the fact that Nintendo would never do it. The best we could hope for is an indie dev parodying the Mario franchise and making what you described.

So it would be Burnout Underground, no story, no customization, and feel aimless. I liked Burnout when it still had closed racing tracks and insane crash challenges, not this open world crap and horrible soundtracks(yes I'm aware of custom soundtracks, but that doesn't make the default one any better). Back in the PS2 era, these games had decent soundtracks,now its all techno crap. Criterion should also stop crossbreeding with NFS and concentrate on their original series.

I used to hate the idea of the Ouya and thought it was pointless, but now I might just buy one because of all the emulators that will be coming over. A full library of Neo Geo titles would be awesome.

Even with the new engine, I sure infinity ward/sledgehammer will screw it up, but I'm cautiously optimistic for what Treyarch has in store.
