Most RROD and YLOD happen when the system is idle. Like when you pause a game and go take a shower or somthing while letting the motherboard bake to death. Those things bend when they heat up if the CPU/GPU touches the heat sinc and you get failure. PC/360/PS3 when that happens you get it repaired or you drive to RadioShack pick up some Artic Silver and fix it yourself.

First Xbox just gave you online gaming it wasn't untill this generation that all these new features were added. So... it's more like this gens Xbox Live is 4yrs old and PSN is 3yrs old and PSN is just now getting cross game chat.

Live has the edge and MS keeps that edge but PSN is starting to catch up in features, even if some of those features have been on the 360 for 4 years. Once Sony starts charging for premium service they will have the money to go toe to toe with Live and it wll be a true online battle. Right now PSN is behind but it's free and you can't argue with free. I can't wait to see a Sony vs MS premium service punch out.

I have an older PS3 and the firmware updates have been a little rough on me. It's not so bad I been using MAC, Linux, and Windows OS or years now and tittle bugs havn't kept me from using them.

2009 has been Sonys biggest year ever so far, beating out both MS and Nintendo combined. However 2010 looks to be more for MS, they have a combo game line up hitting nearly every month in 2010 with Natal at the end o the year.
