I see this practice on many sites and it's annoying as hell, especially since it artificially depletes the overall score and it makes finding useful reviews a frustrating experience. It's also quite juvenile.
Great review, very well written. Starhawk is one of the games that I am gung ho for getting, but Max Payne 3 got in the way. Definitely plan on getting it soon.
Excellent review. I bought this game on release day and I have yet to play it, but it's on the top of my pile to play next. I may have to clear my schedule to play it, though :)
Excellent preview. I look forward to seeing how this game turns out.
I can't wait for Max Payne 3, though there is a part of me that wishes I had a PC that could play Diablo III. That is unquestionably the big gaming event of the week.
Glad to see the weekly roundup of worthwhile Kickstarter projects continue. It's a great series and it brings attention to Kickstarter campaigns that might otherwise go unnoticed. Keep it up :)
This game has been getting very aveage reviews, but I still want to check it out. Despite the possible drawbacks, it still looks like my kind of game.
Excellent interview. It's alwasy great to hear insight from the developers on the process of making their games.
The XBLA has really ramped up their output of great titles lately. This one has been on my radar for a while, so I think I'll give it a go.
I was just reading up on this and Storybricks sounds fantastic. I really do hope they reach their funding goal.
There are definitely games that I get excited for, but I have long been wary of pre-release hype because it tends to set the bar of expectations too high. I now approach every game I want with cautious optimism.
It's well worth the price considering the hours of fun you'll get out of it :)
Great article. I agree that combo packs are the way to go, since you get the best of both worlds. Heck, they have been giving digital copies with DVDs and Blu-Rays for years, so there is definitely a benefit to owning both formats.
Love it!
Same here. I love going into game stores, browsing and finding unexpected deals in the wild. If everything goes digital, that pastime is essentially dead :(
The PC gaming market is definitely seeing an upswing. As for mobile games, I'm not a fan of them myself, save for a few exceptions that keep me fleetingly entertained. I'm a console man, soon hopefully to be a PC man as well :)
I have yet to pick up a Vita, but Mortal Kombat will likely be one of the first games I purchase. I was also playing the arcade game back in the early 90's and have fond memories of the hours (and mountains of quarters) blown on it. The console game from last year is excellent and I'm glad to see that it has transitioned well to the Vita.
Great interview! I have never heard of Reset before, but my interest is definitely piqued.
I seem to be the only one who is looking forward to Fable Heroes.
I am not a fan of movie tie-in games, especially with the supposedly better ones like Avatar and Tron: Legacy being substandard at best. My hopes for a good Avengers game are not especially high.
