You'd hope Microsoft wouldn't be dumb enough to do it but maybe they don't even care about hard core gamers anymore. Are they more interested in the set-top business? They already have a version of Office you use over the Internet. Are they trying to get everyone on their network and uses their services? Maybe gaming is too small now for them to even care much about.
Is this all about keeping gamers from buying used games? If it is they should start dropping the prices of games. How about after games have been out three months just drop the price from $59.99 to $39.99? If they start doing that maybe people won't buy as many used games. Killing used games will also kill game rentals. How do you rent games like on Game Fly?

Maybe this mess will make Microsoft wake up and see what a bad idea it is. I know someone who lives near San Francisco but their house is in an area with no cable and no DSL. I can't remember what they ended up getting but the US still has a lot of homes without access to fast Internet access.

This is stupid. I don't see anything cheap about the PS4. Just because Sony went with parts that are from the PC world doesn't mean they're going cheap. What about that 8GB GDDR5 RAM? That isn't cheap. They went with a system that will make development easier. It doesn't make the hardware cheap.

Microsoft's exclusives only sell bigger because they don't have many. Just a couple big first person shooters. And that's what most 360 gamers like. Sony has lots of different kinds of games. Not just one or two genres.

Is Microsoft going to delay the release of their console until next year? You can't just change a console this close to release unless they're already close. Adding features like the PS4 will have will take months of programming and testing. I doubt Microsoft had all of the same ideas Sony had.
