The only people who really care about this problem are people who work with highend video and photos. But if you're one of those people are you really going to skimp and buy an iMac? I think not. You'll buy a desktop Mac with a much better monitor. Or monitors.
It looks like the delay will end up worth it at least. The screen shots look great. Hopefully the finished game will look as good. And play even better.

I see now after reading this link again it is an April Fool's joke. The real fool though is the guy who wrote it. Anyone who knows how to use the Inernet can tell it's a joke. Look at other sites. That one link is the only report on the story. And it's April 1st. You don't need more proof than that.

This is one reason gamers should stay away from Nintendo. They don't care about gamers. Why waste your money on them? They won't give interviews to the media about their games. Now they won't let their fans talk about their games. What's next?

Wow, whoever wrote that garbage is a moron. They bring up a lot of garbage like how much power the PS3 uses and that's why the 360 version of GTAIV is better? What a loser. I already preordered the game for the PS3. No homo on some blog will change my mind on it either. The two versions are exactly alike besides the extra downloadable content the 360 version will get. I don't want a 360 and I won't buy one to get a little more in GTAIV.
You forgot GT5 Prologue. I work with a lot of car nuts who aren't into gaming much. But they also bought a PS2 for GT3 and GT4. When they see GT5 Prologue you know they'll buy a PS3. April will be a HUGE month for Sony. In Europe GT5 Prologue was sold out as soon as it was out. It will be just as big in the US.
It's funny how they mention GTA4 in April but it' the last day of April. But the PS3 also has GT5 Prologue in the middle of April. The PS3 has a huge April coming up.
I don't think cutscenes should be eliminated but we should be able to push a button and stop them. I hate when you're forced to sit through the whole thing. That just isn't right. What if you're replaying part of the game and already saw it?

pharmd - I agree with you. Microsoft is the one to blame in the end. They wrote the operating system. I doubt Nvidia and other third parties are making poor drivers to hurt Vista. Funny how this is the first time this problem has come up after more than a year. Even if this problem is real big deal. Just back up your data before you do anything else. Problem solved. I don't think most people do things backwards like he does.
What this looks like to me is a sneaky way to try to sell more copies for the 360. Gamestop seems to be doing something too. If you go to their site and go to the PS3 section you'll see a few buttons on the right side for different games. Click on the GTA4 button and you'll see a page where you can buy GTA4. But what's this? Only the 360 version is on this page. And it's on the PS3 page.

What rubbish. I'm boooooooooooooored of this crap. The new law is nobody can talk about this anymore. Blu-ray won the format war. It's over. Nobody cares anymore.
The PS2 is just entering it's midlife. It has years left to live. I think it's the perfect gaming console for kids now. When it came out it was way too much money for young kids. And games all cost too much. Now the PS2 is cheap and games are dirt cheap. Now it can be sold to parents for young kids. Even the Wii is too expensive for young kids to play with.
The fools seem to be the guys working on this game. Why would you want to? Most gamers will probably ignore it because of who is in the game. Do we really need another 50 Cent game?
I guess I'll at least wait and see how it turns out. If it's a great game in the end and gets all great reviews then it might be worth buying. It's definitely a wait and see though based on the subject. It will have to be amazing to win most gamers over.
