right, because a systm that has been out for less than a year has already failed. by your logic, the ps3 should have been killed offmuch earlier since they tried to strike gold like they did with ps2, but failed miserably. ive been a ps3 owner since the day mgs4 bundle was out and that was a pretty tough dry spell to deal with.
dragon knight,u obviously have no idea what trolling is if u think i was trolling. i play my ps3 and 360 more than any other systems. i also fail to see where i made any prediction. i am speaking from a parents viewpoint and the new systems havent sold me yet, nothing says to me that these systems are needed yet because most of the available titles are also on current systems.
and history? ive been through a ton of system launches and even the best of them had sales lulls,...
So glad you have that crystal all and can see the future. The sticker shock of a $400-$500 gaming system in this economic climate is enough to argue the opposite of your claim. If you think that these new maguic boxes will have an awesome, continuous stream of new and worthwhile titles that will move systems then you are delusional. The market does not take shape overnight dude. These consoles will go through their growing pains as well and we shouldnt be surprised to see fledgling sales afte...
Itll be interesting which version of this gets put on the Wii U. If that version stacks up to what has been shown so far, then hopefully the Wii U trolls and haters will STFU and start eating that crow. If it turns out the U version looks like this, alongside the PS360 versions, then Nintendo will never hear the end of it. This one title could actually prove or disprove a lot about the Wii U... I for one would argue that it IS CEARLY a so-called "next gen" system, but what do I know...
Its pretty sad how some people complain about Nintendo every chance they get. If these games werent coming to Wii U these same people would be bashing the Wii U for NOT getting them. Then, when those games are anounced people say thigns like, "who cares about CoD", and " yay M?OR SHOVELWARE!" This is the general mantra from the press and fanboys alike and its sickening. Just STFU already! Did Nintendo kick these people's puppies or screw their moms or something? Let it...
They also included the Players Guide in digital form on their website. If people are realy going to bitch about an extra $2 then they should stop playing games altogether. $10 for this timeless classic is a steal! If you dont think so, then just go try to find the thing on ebay or some other site and see what you come up with
I could definitely see Android on the Vita. It really does not make sense that it isnt available! I just got a Vita a few weeks back and am loving it. I dont know if its just me, but I am enjoying these games and systems that seemingly no one else is right now. I love my Wii U and Vita and play on those two the majority of my gaming time. Ill play my PS3 and 3DS as well, but for some reason, I gravitiate towards my Vita when Im away from the TV and the Wii U when Im at my TV. Its a shame that...
The OUYA seems like a decent idea, but I think for Android to really blossom and be taken seriously as a gaming platform, it should be available on current home consoles. What is stopping them from striking a deal with Nintendo to bring the Android game marketplace to the Wii U? Users would have the touch interface for all the games because of the Wii U gamepad and people who prefer physical controls would get their wish too. It would also solve Wii U's game drought. Since Square isnt rel...
Patent trolls are getting out of hand! Lets all go create the websites now for the products we think will be real in a matter of years. These douches have made so much money off this tactic its ridiculous. If you dont have a product or service readily available or in the pipelines then you should not be allowed to secure anything within that domain. What a joke.
If so, I wonder how it holds up to the PS4/Xbone versions. I was one of the few that actually rather enjoyed Blops 2 on the Wii U. I liked that I could play on the Gamepad, use it as a map to unclutter the TV HUD or just use wii remote controls. Plus the online communtiy wasnt a bunch of vets that played this all day every day so the games online were a lot better IMO. Id check out Ghosts on the U.
@jameson
Well said! They definitely need some new and better ads and a nice price drop. i am sure that once they start releasing these quality titles they will also drop the price. Its all marketing and they still have enough time before the other systems release. I think a $249 core system and $299 Deluxe bundle with a Pro Controller and a game thrown in is the perfect point to be at. They wont be able to keep the things in stock if they hit that point. But the marketing sucks right ...
I think they are right and they will benefit hugely from their support. I was mad at them for the Rayman debacle and still think that one game would have changed the Wii U's fortunes much sooner. But looking at what they are bringing to the U shows me that other devs and pubs are plain stupid and shortsighted. I changed my preorders for 360 Splinter Cell, Watch Dogs, and Ass Creed 4 to Wii U and will be picking up Rayman at launch.
I have seen what the gamepad can offer ...
Wow the DK disrespect here is ridiculous! Nintendo needs games that sell. DK sells and Retro themselves said they werent done yet with the DK franchise. This game looks incredible and I cant wait to play it. If they had made another Metroidpeople would be saying they can only make Metroid. Its a cant win suituation. While I would like to see some 3D action platofrmers from Nintendo instead of constant 2D, it is good that they are flexing their franchise muscles and releasing the games their c...
This game is strangely addicting! I wish it was more of an RPG so I could walk around these environments and the story is the weak part so far, but the battles are just so much fun! I have been having a blast timign my attacks just right and trying to nail every hit possible. There is a lot of startegy to the timing of your attacks to ensure the most damage. The amount of characters from awesome franchises packed in here is astounding! Id give it a solid 8. I have never been into SRPGs but th...
I really do wish I could play a revamped version of Fallout New Vegas and Skyrim GotY editions on the wii U. Gamepad implementation and touch commands could be great. Plus the load times could be shortened and all that jazz. The U is a pretty speedy system. Come on Bethesda! People would pay for this!
Sux because enhanced ports of Fallout/Skyrim could really show how useful the gamepad is and could have solved many of those series' biggest problems. My guess is that they are going all out into the MMORPG and those wont do so hot as it is, espcially on a syustem not designed for that kind of stuff. Oh well, I will have a ps4 to play their games if so desired anyway.
The lack of support form a developer that has never released a game on a nintendo platform should not be...
Holy shit has it been another disaster of a console release for Nintendo, but I just cant hate them for it because they always deliver the quality I expect. But dammit I better get SOMETHING for being an early adopter after they blatantly lied about learning their lesson from the 3DS launch. I am convinced that they should have waited at least until this year, maybe around September to release the Wii U. They could have had a little more time to add more RAM into the system and had these game...
For a system everyone is saying is DOA there are a lot of games I want to play in that list. I'm supporting the third party titles like arkham origins and the ubi titles on the Wii u. I am loving the game pad and the Wii u in general. I hope it sells great this holiday so it gets more support.
How do you figure? Current wii u and 3ds first party games have seen some great sale prices at places like Target and Best Buy. I got paper Mario sticker star for $20 less than a month after release. I think Nintendo is starting to wise up in the pricing dept a little. Game and Wario is also releasing at $40. That's unheard of for a Nintendo home console first party title.
i love my wii u, but you hit the nail on the head. its the same issue they ran into with the 3ds. i dont know wtf those marketing guys are smoking but they need to stop. now if they can pull the3ds off the cliff the way they have i have total faith they will make the wii u a great system in the long run. once a real new zelda comes along and blows everyone away, all of this ealry cycle stupidness will be forgotten. people have been calling for nintendos doom since the snes days, its par for t...
