I think that's harsh personally. Just goes to show the fickle world of reviewing. I wasn't a massive fan of the initial reboot but felt this built over the issues I had and I had a blast playing it *shrugs*.
That's not actually the reason though. Although it's a nice theory. Never thought of it that way 😁
One of the main reasons I got a Switch was the hope some of the fun Wii U games I hadn't played, like this, got released. Might have to pick it up as it sounds like it's still great fun 😁
You do have some weapons and items of sorts to use in this. It's a lot like Clock Tower, Haunting Ground and Forbidden Siren.
It's a very old school feeling game. I got a huge nostalgia vibe from what I've played of it.
Sounds really interesting. Might have to check it out!
I enjoyed what I've played of it myself. It's put together really nicely.
Seems the game has really divided opinion.
BlazBlue is such an odd series. Shame that this one isn't worth checking out. Enjoyed what I've played of others.
Loving this game so far. Fun in multiplayer and single player.
I'm enjoying it so far but the PS4 but there's some stability issues with that too.
I mean the article is nothing but positive with the game and I really enjoyed my time playing the remaster.
Unfortunately I didn't get around to playing it earlier due to life and other things always getting in the way. The dreaded gaming backlog. As I kept getting closer to going back to it something new would come out until it got to the point that I just wasn't playing the console I owned it on any more.
From a fresh perspective it's still ...
Vagrant Story was ace.
Would love to see a Parasite Eve 1 & 2 remake.
Will be genuinely shocked if it's not announced.
What are you hoping Square Enix show at E3?
Good for Ubisoft. Interested to see what happens from here.
Shame. Really hoped this would deliver something interesting but from the sound of things it's just a bit clunky and dull.
Josef also said that EA will basically nothing from the game in an interview with The Sixth Axis.
He said: “Every single dollar is going to the developer. They’re not even making any money and all I’ve got is support from EA."
That's kind of cool of them if true.
An interesting tidbit that had to be cut from the interview was who Josef would cast in a live action adaptation of the game. He'd keep his brother (Fares Fares) as Leo but would cast Benicio del Toro as Vincent, which seems like some fine casting.
Happy to answer any questions people might have about the game (or Josef) in the comments from my time with the game and him so let me know :)
This looks really cool. Definitely going to check it out.
I really need to check this out. I've yet to read one "this is truly awful" review on any episode.
