I run sound via hdmi to the TV, including from PS3, PS4 and Switch. From the TV I run an optical cable to my surround receiver. It works perfectly 🙂 That way the picture and sound is always in perfect sync too

They can't make an xbox one x only version. All games that run on One X, runs on base xbox one as well. All of them. That's how it works. And how would they sell it? It would be the first xbox game ever that only runs on the one x. And I can't begin to imagine how poor the base xbox one version will be, having to run on archaic ddr3 and 1,2 flops gpu
