Sure, DX12 will bring lots of improviment to X-1 and will make things a lot better, but don't espect things like Dx12 making X-1 better than ps4.
There is a good hardware gap between Ps4 and X-1, and no sofware will make this gap close magically. Perhaps x-1 can play at the same level of Ps4, but i'm sure it will not go above Ps4. Sony isn't lazy, they are not going to stay still while Microsoft close the gap improving their software.

To me, Ps4 is much more focused on games, and i'm not talking about "power", i'm talking about first party games and stating the fact that sony have more 1º party studios than microsoft, this is why i will put my money on Ps4 and wii U when they reach a good price, for now i will stick whit my Ps3 and Pc, the best games are still to come in the future...

Now kinectic-less xbox don't have voice command, but Ps4, whit no Pseye, have a very good voice comand whit a head set conected on dual shock 4! lol!
Ps4 still have a much better value than X-1, more power, better UI( X-1 UI whit no kinectic is trash), voice commands, better value whit PS+ ( $50 vs $60 ). this fight will only start when Microsoft put the pride aside and place their box at $350, utiltehn Ps4 wins by a landslide.

I hope this RTS is focused on PC. I love RTS, but i can't stand playing it on a controler, mouse and keyboard are much better for RTS, much more precise and fast!

1º) 1º generation cosoles, made to work whit clock X.
2º) years of work and firmware...
3º) 2º generation consoles ( slim models or just carry a new chips), build for clock of X+20%...
4º) firmware update, make all consoles work on X+20%, old consoles will work, but they will overheat and die... (they are alre...
My dream E3...
1º) speak abou Ps+, Ps now, Morpheus, etc. Do this and boost some numbers, like "Ps4 8.3 million worldwide sales!"
2º) star whit the indies, go for 1-2 good games and close whit "The Witness" and, if possible, a new game form "Thatgamecompany"
3º) speak about Vita, games coming for Vita, including indie games, show things like Gravity rush 2! Give some life to Vita!

well, considering the recent pace of sales of the PS4 against the pace of sales of the X-1 and the type of contract that Microsoft is imposing (your game comes " 1º / or at the same time" on xbox), I would not be surprised if the next game of them is a exclusive for PS4 (perhaps Ps4/PC).
I agree, Halo 5 is the "golden boy" for X1 and it will move tons of software and hardware! I'm not buying X1 for now, and i still think PS4 is a better choice, but if 343i make Halo 5 as epic as the first 3 halo games i will realy have to think about including a X1 to my 'must have" list.
