Have not really noticed this not until you mentioned them lines. Anyway, I'm more bothered with the small black blotches in the background, the one that looks like watermarks, when I am playing my Vita in the dark and the screen is displaying black (eg.uncharted's loading screen)

Like you good sir, I bought a Vita so that it compliments my PS3 console gaming(there even was a point where I would only play with the Vita as opposed to my PS3), let the brother borrow it every once in a while as well. ;)

yup, at 160k MH really did help a lot.
maybe your standards/expectations are just too high. Of course there are obvious trade offs such as static backgrounds etc. however those games are still eye candy specially since you are playing it from a handheld. Matter of fact, the only Vita game I have which is not that visually appealing is Virtue's last reward, maybe because it's also available on the 3ds, though I did not buy it for the visuals to begin with.
